Itinerary
The Alhambra in Granada
PThe Alhambra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a monument that continues to amaze us every time we visit it. The visit takes approximately two and a half hours. We will take you through the gardens of the Alhambra, its different palaces and buildings.
The Generalife Palace
The Generalife Palace, a place of rest and retreat, was the summer residence of the sultans. A haven of peace amidst fountains and beautiful gardens of flowers and plants of all kinds.
The Alcazaba of the Alhambra
We will visit the defensive building of the Alhambra, the quarter where the elite military lived. And the Candle Tower, which dominated Granada in the Middle Ages and today offers impressive views of the city and the Albaicin quarter.
The Christian area
We will discover the strong contrast between a robust Christian Renaissance palace such as the Palace of Charles V and the delicate Nasrid palaces. Also its main church and the convent of San Francisco, where today a Parador Nacional is located.
The Nasrid Palaces
The most exclusive area of the Alhambra is made up of some incredible palaces that were built and reformed by each sultan as they wished. Amongst gardens and fountains we will find unique buildings, with an infinite decoration of plasterwork with precision to the millimetre.
The city of Granada
At the end of the visit to the Alhambra we will go to the city centre. Here, we will enjoy the Madraza building, the Royal Chapel, and the Alcaiceria quarter. We will also see the imposing Cathedral of Granada, a jewel of the Christian era of the city
The Albaicin neighbourhood
We will take our private transfer up to Albaicin where we will contemplate the impressive views of the Alhambra from the Mirador de San Nicolas. The perfect ending to our day
Important information

- The historic centre of Malaga is pedestrianised and fairly flat. We consider this tour quite easy, but we still recommend comfortable shoes, a bottle of water and sunscreen if it is spring-summer time.
